Cyclone

Postby Richard » Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:59 am

Hi All. The worst cyclone in Australia's living memory is about to arrive. Severe Category 5 which is the very highest level possible. Extreme loss of life and structures is predicated tonight. My family are in Mackay which at this stage is on the outskirts of the worst. You can see the latest updates at http://www.bom.gov.au/products/IDQ65002.shtml. I'll keep you advised. Wish us luck downunder.
Kind Regards
Richard

Hi All. Happy to report our city just got "clipped" by Cyclone Yasi. Some of the towns further north were wiped out. Floods and 2 cyclones in three weeks. Bring on winter when this weather will be gone. Thank you for your kind thoughts.

Richard

Was waiting with baited breath to hear from you, glad to know that you and you family are ok.

Was there much damage where you are or did you just get blown about?
